Sudan and Lesotho will battle for third place in Group D of the CAF Qualifiers on Sunday.

Neither team has a shot at the third round of qualifiers as they currently sit in a tie for last place with only two points. First place Ghana finished the tournament with 15 points while Zambia wound up in second with 11. Ghana will not head to the third round of qualifiers where it will face another group winner in a two-legged playoff.

Sudan started its tournament with a 2-0 win over Zambia. However, FIFA discovered foul play from Sudan and awarded Zambia with a 3-0 victory instead. Then Sudan and Lesotho battled to a 0-0 stand still in their second games before Sudan was subjected to a 4-0 loss against Ghana. The team bounced back in a 3-1 loss to Ghana and also managed a 1-1 draw with Zambia in its most recent game.

Lesotho was annihilated 7-0 by Ghana in its opener but pushed Sudan to a 0-0 draw in the follow-up. A 1-1 draw with Zambia put the team on a solid track but a 4-0 loss to that same Zambia team pushed the team back into the loss column. In its most recent game, Ghana defeated Lesotho 2-0.

Lesotho has scored one goal in the entire tournament and has conceded 14; Sudan has two goals scored and 11 allowed.

Prediction: Expect a fast-paced game and a 1-1 draw.

Start Time: 1 p.m. EST

The match will not be live streamed in the USA.
