It's an all American final in women's beach volleyball as Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings go against Jennifer Kessy and April Ross today at 4 p.m. EDT.

The Olympic women have been undefeated throughout the 2012 London Summer Olympics, but one team will finally taste defeat, although the loser won't leave empty handed, they'll go with the silver medal.

May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings are currently third seeded in beach volleyball, compared to Ross and Kessey who are fourth seeded. Despite the closeness in the seeding, bookies are predicting a comfortable win to the veterans May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings.

For May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings, they'll be seeking their third Olympic gold medal after defeating China, 2-0. The game was hotly contested as the two sets ended 22-20, both in USA's favor. May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings won gold at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics without losing a game.

Kessy and Ross head into the finals after defeating Brazil's Larissa Franca and Juliana Silva (2-1), who were considered as possible favorites to win the competition as they came to the Olympics as the Brazilian world champions.

This is the first Olympic Games for Kessy and Ross.

"I can't believe it. I only let myself picture it in my dreams," Ross said. "I never really expected it. I knew that we could do it, but the competition in the final four is so big."

According to Kessy, the dream was to have both US beach volleyball teams compete in the gold medal final together.

"I can't believe we're going to be on that podium - either gold or silver. It hasn't sunk in for me yet, probably because our job isn't done," said Kessy.

"We want to seal the deal that we're the best team that's ever happened," said Walsh Jennings. "This will be our last match together, so we want to go out on top."

May-Treanor will retire from international play after the London Olympics.
