'Game of Thrones' Season 4 Spoilers: New Daario Naharis to Team Up With Daenerys

“Game of Thrones” fans cannot wait until spring. There’s a long winter ahead, but once the flowers bloom, all will be right in the land of Westeros. They want one thing and one thing only, more “Game of Thrones.” What they may not desire, however, are more characters. Although the show’s numerous characters bring life and color to the series, it’s reaching the point of absurdity. There are so many running subplots and sub characters that it’s far too easy to lose track of what’s what and who’s who. Some characters that are pivotal to the story’s central storyline only make a handful of brief appearances every season. There’s simply not enough room. So while some may embrace the arrival of more and more exotic characters, others will be dismayed to learn that one in particular has been recast, confusing the confuddled cast even further.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michiel Huisman will be taking over the role of Daario Naharis. Ed Skrein played Daario in Season 3, introducing the warrior who turns his back on his potential partners and joins Daenerys, but not before exchanging several promiscuous glances.

The books on which the show is based, "A Song of Ice and Fire," introduce new characters left and right, and when translated into the television series, fans can become frustrated and discouraged. There are simply too many to keep track of. Therefore, in effort to keep fans interest, producer David Benioff plans to focused on what's most important in season 4.

"The series has already reached a point where there are so many characters, particularly in season 3 we're introducing so many new ones," Benioff said. "We run the risk of bursting at the seams as we try to cram every single subplot and all the various characters and it becomes impossible on a budgetary level and it becomes impossible on an episode-basis to jump around every few minutes to 30 different characters and locations."

Fans are well aware of this sentiment. So why keep adding cast members? If not essential to the story, we’d rather you spare us the headache. Please, proceed with care.
