It's official. After months of agonizing speculation and shattered aspirations, the "50 Shades of Grey" movie has been cast. Let's take a brief moment to savor this tasty morsel. All of our struggles, all of our relentless pleas and cries for acknowledgement have finally been validated. Although our favorites may or may not have made it onto the bill, the wait is over. Instead of toiling in a feux world of potential scenarios, we can now muster all of our energy and focus on one image. It's about time. For a moment it seemed as the though the world was spinning off its axis as rumors ran rampant on a daily basis, each day confuddling the "50 Shades" casting arena even more. So take a long, deep breath. It's over. At last, Christian and Anastasia have arrived.

Universal announced today that the young Dakota Johnson will play the shy and vulnerable college student, Anastasia Steele, in the upcoming film adaptation of "50 Shades of Grey." Naturally, the next thought that pops into any avid "50 Shades" fan is who will play alongside Johnson? Well author E. L. James has the answer.

James prefaced Labor Day Monday with an ominous tweet reading, "Good moaning all. Hold on to your hats." She then followed up by informing diehards of the good news.

"I am delighted to let you know that the lovely Dakota Johnson has agreed to be our Anastasia in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey."

Twelve minutes later, there was this. "So... Christian..."

And then the bombshell. "The gorgeous and talented Charlie Hunnam will be Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey."

And there you have it. It's over. The never-ending, torturous, relentless, inhumane "50 Shades" casting race has ended. Now the countdown to the actual film has begun. Only 11 months remaining. Sigh.
