Kevin Love and Serge Ibaka maybe playing for their current team at the start of the 2013-2014 season, but these big time players could be involved in what would go down as a blockbuster deal before the midseason trade deadline.

In the latest NBA article on Sports World Report, a proposed blockbuster trade between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder could materialize, though it will entirely depend on how these two teams perform in the first half of the 2013-2014 season

One of the proposed trade scenarios involve the shipping of Serge Ibaka, Jeremy Lamb and the expiring contract of Kendrick Perkins to the T-Wolves in exchange for All-Star power forward Kevin Love.

Love has been a double-double machine (17.3 points and 12.2 rebounds) ever since joining the Timberwolves. The T-Wolves considered Love as their franchise player, but his struggles to stay healthy and his upcoming free-agency have the T-Wolves quite iffy to commit with their bruising forward long-term.

Another dilemma the T-Wolves have to solve is the looming free agency of point guard Ricky Rubio, who could demand max money after next season. For a small market ball club, committing both with Rubio and Love will be hard especially after signing Kevin Martin, Nikola Pekovic, Chase Budinger, Corey Brewer, and Ronny Turiaf this summer.

Meanwhile, Love's arrival in Oklahoma will finally give the Thunder a dominant low post presence that would help them reclaim the Western Conference and get a better shot at winning their first NBA title.

The triumvirate of Love, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will instantly give the Thunder star-studded cornerstones, but Ibaka and Lamb will also make the T-Wolves better defensively.

According to Sports World Report, this trade maybe too crazy to happen, but then again, a lot crazier trades took place for the last three or four years. It may seem lopsided given that Love is the only legitimate All-Star to be involved in the trade, but Ibaka's game is developing year by year and his defensive acumen is what the T-Wolves need at this point.
