Adorably Cute Dog Photos Celebrating National Dog Day [SLIDESHOW]

In case you didn't know, it was National Dog Day on August 26th. So if you weren't able to celebrate with your pooch, better check out how these canines celebrated theirs.

Our canine buddies deserve a special day for themselves. With all the guarding, fetching, digging and howling they've been through for a year plus their all-time job of keeping you happy and comforted, stress is bound to take toll on those furry little bodies.

And so on National Dog Day, our lovely furballs get some vacay and time off from their round-the-clock job through various activities. Some were able to spend their day snoozing - without any uncalled for disturbance. Others spent their sunny days at the beach in the hopes of spotting bikini-clad she-dogs who are out for the day. A few are contented watching the latest episodes of Pretty Little Liars on the couch while some are more outgoing and spends the day out on a swing. And finally, others think it's high time they get a selfie - with their humans of course!
