It's time to buckle in. Fall's heavy hitters or roaring in. News surrounding the return of the season's biggest series are pouring in. It's crunch time. The finish line is dead ahead.

One of ABC's most popular series, "Castle," is gearing up for it's 6th season, and there's plenty of jaw dropping headlines that have fans crawling in their skin. Okay, maybe not jaw dropping, but they're informative and beneficial nonetheless.

Fans have long been eager to meet Baby Ryan, and according to Entertainment Weekly, they may finally get their chance. Executive producer Andrew Marlowe reports the show is "just starting to explore that," adding that his assumption "is we will get to meet the baby and that that episode will be late this fall."

As for the overall tone of season 6, there will be episodes both fun and dark. The premiere, for example, will be serious and thrilling, while other episodes, like the "Saved By the Bell Parody," will have more of a comical aspect. Marlowe also informed fans that one episode during the first half of the season will have a "Da Vinci Code"/"National Treasure" feel to it.

The show will also be beefing up its already star-studded cast. Joshua Gomez, from "Chuck," will be joining as a guest star on the fifth episode as a murder suspect who claims to have travelled from the future to prevent a cataclysmic event from happening, according to TVLine.

And that's not all. As previously reported, "The Bold and the Beautiful" actor Antonio Sabato Jr. will play Ramon Russo, an actor famous for his role on the fictional 90s sitcom "2 Cool for School." Russo, along with his fellow cast mates, will be at the center of an investigation when one of the show's actors is murdered.

"Castle" will return to ABC on Monday, September 23.
