Univision's website revealed that Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez will be Don Francisco's next co-host on his show "Sábado Gigante," beginning this Saturday, August 24 at 8 p.m.
The Mexican comedian will also talk about his role in the movie "Instructions Not Included," in which he stars with young actress Loreto Peralta.
This new spin of the show Sábado Gigante also includes a new segment "Yo Soy Único," which consists of a competition where judges have the last word; the judges are Piter Albeiro, Carlos "El Chevo" López and Jochy Jochy. Univision further detailed that in the "Yo Soy Único" competition, judges will witness different acts by competitors who seeks to win two thousand dollars and a new car.
In the upcoming episode, fans can expect an emotive immigrant mother born in Honduras who has been working in the United States for seven years. After enduring the long wait of following buraucratic procedures, the woman will finally be reunited with her sons, who she hasn't seen since her arrival at the United States.
Another shocking event can be expected next Saturday. It's the case of a couple that may separate because one of them wants to return to their hometown in Mexico, while the other wants to remain in the United States. The situation places them in a "I'm leaving with or without you" dilemma. The night will end with the performance of Grupo Proyecto Uno, the creators of Merengue House who will feature their single "Que Siga La Fiesta."
There are also two segments that will be of public interest. First, First Lady Michelle Obama will appear in a special segment where the main topic is the promotion of physical activity and healthy eating habits in minors. In the second segment, "de ADN" the show revolves a paternity case involving a 34 year old man who might have a daughter in Ecuador. He is joined by his wife to find out the results of a paternity test.
One can expect many surprises from the new broadcast of Sábado Gigante, Univisión mentions that the main elements to be found in the show hosted by Eugenio Derbez and Don Francisco are "thousands of dollars in prizes, a car, humor, fun and healthy entertainment."
