New web apps are launched and published all the time, some don't transcend, others become very popular, and just a few manage to become news. This is the case of Grammarly, an innovative and powerful application that analyzes the quality of a text. The tool was recently used to create an analysis of the Twitter accounts of over a hundred celebrities.
In order to carry out the analysis, a list of the most frequent celebrity tweeters was analyzed. After examining their latest tweets, analysts figured out which celebrities had the least spelling errors.
Of the 100 celebrities analyzed, Latin rapper Daddy Yankee, recently awarded the "musical power" award, was placed in fifth place, and is the best-graded Spanish-speaking singer. The top spot was obtained by American singer Beyoncé, while the bottom of the list was occupied by Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj, People En Español reported.
The analysis of the Twitter account not only uncovered which celebrities had the least or most spelling errors, but also allowed for an analysis of their writing according to age, sex and music genre.
People En Español pointed out that men made more mistakes than women, with an average of almost 16 mistakes out of every 100 words. Another result determined that younger artists make more mistakes than older artists, with the difference between both being very wide. Celebrities around 50 years of age made only 6.5 mistakes out of 100 words, while teenagers made almost 18 mistakes out of 100 words.
Finally, in regards to music genres, it was determined that singers of Latino genres have the least mistakes, scoring just 6.3 mistakes per 100 words, while pop genre artists make 10 mistakes in the same amount of words.
