Week one thousand and something: still no word from E. L. James or Universal Studios. The roles of Christian and Anastasia remain uncast. Down here in the "50 Shades of Grey" trenches, tensions are wearing thin. Fans are becoming more discouraged by the minute. A plague of severe frustration has run rampant throughout the grounds, yet they remain diligent. There's no giving up. Their hearts are too strong. Their dreams are too big. They persist day in and day out, feeding off mock trailers and poll rankings. Although the future is looking grim, the will to fight persists. If James and Universal could come to their senses and make a decision, this brutal war could be over. But no. The fans are left with no choice. They will fight for what they believe. They will fight for true love. They will fight for their favorite "50 Shades of Grey" contenders.

Since director Sam Taylor-Johnson joined the "50 Shades" team several weeks back, rumors of her husband snagging the role of Christian Grey have spun out of control. Although the couple has thwarted most speculation, the announcement we've been waiting for has finally arrived.

"Kick-Ass" actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson has confirmed that he will not play Mr. Grey in the "50 Shades of Grey" film. According to UK Metro, Aaron Taylor-Johnson addressed the matter with a touch of sarcasm and hint of self-deprecation.

"I am not Christian Grey," he said. "I mean, he is supposed to be the most gorgeous man on the f***ing planet. And I'm not old enough."

Despite his absence from the film, he's still pleased to see his wife at the reigns. "I am thrilled she's doing it," he said. "She got the job and overnight it went crazy. But Sam is incredible. She's totally the right person to take it up to a while other level of class."

While it's sad to see him go, Aaron Taylor-Johnson would have a difficult time standing up to front-runner studs such as Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill. Who ever they choose, let us pray that they end our suffering soon. Enough is enough.
