Shailene Woodley has revealed that the character of Four in the new film "Divergent" will be six years older than in the book.

The actress said that the decision was made because of actor Theo James' age. The British star is 28 years old and as result the directors made Four 24 years old. Woodley explained: "Theo James who plays the love interest in my film is 28, in the book his character is 18, but in the movie we're making him about 24/25. He's kind of ageless in a way. And even though in the book Tris is about 16, we never allude to the fact that she's that young."

The issue has been brought up by the fan base since James was cast. The actor is 10 years older than the character he portrays in Roth's book, and readers had imagined a younger person for the role.

Woodley also had the chance to speak about the comparisons that have been made between the upcoming film and "The Hunger Games."

"People constantly compare us to 'The Hunger Games' and I think that's awesome. 'Hunger Games' frickin kicked but and Jenn Lawrence is amazing, and I think it's a big compliment to our project," said Woodley.

"Divergent" tells the story of a teenager, Tris, who seeks to break free from her homogeneous society that divides people based on human traits. She leaves her faction and joins a rival group, where she falls for an older man. The film also stars Kate Winslet, Miles Teller, Jai Courtney, Maggie Q, Ashley Judd, and Ray Stevenson.

Summit Entertainment will release "Divergent" on March 21, 2014.
