If you listen closely, you can hear the faint rumble. You can hear the deep grinds of cyclists downshifting on the open highway as the rubber melts into the hot summer concrete. The members of SAMCRO continue to ride towards the season 6 premiere and they're getting closer. With every passing second, the road between them and their official return dwindles. Now as the date approaches, more details from production provide fans with a muddled idea of what the new season will entail.

Although unspecific, Entertainment Weekly informs fans that the season premiere contains ealisy one of the most chilling scenes shown on television in a long time. Not only that, but the episode will host a handful of twists that are guaranteed to leave fans' jaws glued to the floor.

FX has released an early teaser for the new season of "Sons of Anarchy" and it proves that all the rumors are true. It looks unreal. The stylized clip slow motion clip features the cast amidst a massive brawl with their leader, Jax, caught in the middle. Although the scene may not appear in the season, as we see Tara and Clay, both of whom are in prison, involved in the gnarled mess of bodies, it hints at the high tension and teeth-clenching grit that it has promised. Check out the short trailer below and prepare to have your socks blown off.

As previously reported, Jax has plenty on his plate heading into season 6. Not only is Tara in prison, but he'll have to deal with the weight of controlling the club and the recent death of his best friend, Opie. Showrunner Kurt Sutter commented on Jax's fragile mind state in a recent interview and shared his thoughts on where the new season will take his character as he dangerously flirts with the line between doing right and doing wrong.

"I told Charlie [Hunnam, who plays Jax] that one of the driving forces for what Jax will do, and his desire to stay plugged into the club and take the right road, is that he feels the burden and the guilt of Opie's death and is not going to let that be in vain," Sutter said. "It will be Opie saying, 'You need to finish this ride.' That will motivate him to do certain things so that A, Opie's death isn't in vain, and B, we feel Opie's presence throughout season 6."

"Sons of Anarchy" will return to FX on September 11.
