Google announced Android 4.3 Jelly Bean last Wednesday and stated that it would immediately begin rolling out for the Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 devices. While this would make most device owners happy, it seems that the Nexus 4 Android 4.3 update comes with more problems than it's worth.
Soon after users downloaded the update, reports of bugs began flooding in, the worst of which is overheating. Apparently the update causes the Nexus 4 to overheat far quicker than it usually does. The smartphone also seems to suffer from a decrease in performance - whether or not this is a result of the overheating is unknown. Users are also complaining that the camera app and games in general are all suffering from stuttering. All in all, it doesn't look like Nexus 4 owners should download Android 4.3, at least until Google fixes the issues.
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean isn't anything too special, and won't completely revamp the Android interface. The core experience remains the same, although there are some features that have been streamlined. Expandable, actionable notifications are now a thing, and Google promises that system tweaks should increase the fluidity and response of the interface (although, as we can tell from the problems reported above, this doesn't seem to work on the Nexus 4 very well). Tablet users get a new restricted profile option to choose from, and Google input some new coding to better support high quality video streaming and gaming.
