Manchester United's hopes of landing Cesc Fabregas were given another blow thanks to new Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino insisting that his midfielder was remaining at the Camp Nou for the 2013-14 season

"I'm not going to involve myself in the club's accounts, but considering the club has already rejected two offers, I would guess it will reject a third. In other words, Fabregas will remain here," affirmed the "Tata."

Manchester United has reportedly made a number of attempts to land Fabregas, but has been met with rejection from Barcelona time and again.

"United are wasting their time. It took a long time for Cesc to get his dream move back home and he won't give it up. This is home, it is where his family is, and he is playing with his closest friends," said Barcelona defender Gerard Pique. "He has told us he is happy and that he intends to stay with Barcelona."

"We can assure you that we won't listen to any offers for Cesc. It is not an option. Cesc is non-transferable," added Barcelona's Vice President Josep Maria Bartomeu.

"He doesn't want to go to other teams for money reasons or playing time. He knows there is competition for places here, but his decision is to stay. I am relaxed about the situation," concurred former Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova. "It is a good sign that the club gets offers for our players. It shows we have players other teams want. But Fabregas wants to stay."
