Jose Mourinho thinks that Cristiano Ronaldo will remain with his current club Real Madrid.

The new Chelsea manager told the media that his compatriot intuited that the forward would not return to Manchester United this season.

"I know Ronaldo loves Man United and I know he loves the Premier League, but I think he is going to stay [at Real]," Mourinho said. "It's just a feeling, no contact, nothing just a feeling."

Of course, it could be wishful thinking on Mourinho's part as Manchester United is his direct competition for the Premier league championship. He did note that Real Madrid was in a stable financial situation and could match any offer made for the superstar.

"What I know is that Real Madrid is such a rich club they don't need to sell," said Mourinho. "It is such a rich club I think they can beat any offer a club can have on Ronaldo."

New Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti agreed with Mourinho's statements during a press event on Sunday. Ancelotti not only stated that he felt an extension for Ronaldo was near, but that his future lay with the Spanish club.

"Everyone knows that he is a superstar and a great player," Ancelotti told the media in Spain. "The most important thing for the club is that a player of his quality shows the utmost professionalism.

"That is good, especially for the young players who can see a world-class player working with that attitude. I am not responsible for the renewal of his contract, but it won't be a problem," he added.

"His future is at Real Madrid, there is no question about this," Ancelotti concluded.
