Despite the ongoing patent infringement trials, Apple and Samsung have reportedly agree to collaborate on the Cupertino-based company's future iPhones.
According to the Korea Economic Daily, Samsung will develop the A9 chips based on a 14-nanometer process node for Apple starting in 2015. Ideally, and based on dates and patterns, the 2015 Apple smartphone would theoretically be the iPhone 7.

The report noted the iPhone in 2015 would be released in the latter half of the year.
The deal also comes as Apple reportedly made a deal with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and Global UniChip for a three-year deal to provide the AX chip. The deal, however, includes production of the A9 chips.
As DigiTimes reported last month, TSMC will start manufacturing the A8 chips this month for a new iPhone in early 2014.
Samsung has been the sole manufacturer of the AX processors for iOS devices, including the A6 seen on the iPhone 5.
According to CNET, Apple and Samsung were reached for a comment but no response has been given.
In regards to the iPhone 5S, the Commercial Times, via Bloomberg, reported the iPhone 5S may launch at the later end of 2013 in order to feature a 4.3-inch Retina Display screen. DigiTimes, citing "industry sources," has also claimed Apple might reduce iPhone 5S orders due to issues with the device's fingerprint recognition sensor. The fingerprint sensor chip is designed by AuthenTec, which Apple acquired in July 2012 for $356 million.
