Alianza de Futbol Hispano has been making big moves in 2013, having recently teamed up with LeadDog Marketing, U.S. Soccer, and Spanish-language television network Telemundo.

Founded in 2004 by Brad Rothenberg and Richard Copeland, Alianza de Futbol Hispano is one of the largest grassroots soccer program in the United States, hosting amateur, soccer clinics, and access to pro scouts from the Liga MX, Major League Soccer (MLS) and American colleges and universities.

"Alianza is a great property that will grow, and we already have a 40-person multicultural / Hispanic staff that BRC will complement nicely," said LeadDog founder Dan Mannix.

Under the deal with LeadDog Marketing, Alianza de Futbol will launch the Alianza U program, in partnership with Verizon. The program is designated to help Hispanic players and their families understand and navigate through the college recruiting and admission process. Alianza U provides year-long access to students, helping them with the college application process, college recruitment requirements, financial aid and scholarship information.

Alianza U also provides an on-site learning center at their events to help any student or parent who may have questions.

"This is an extension of our mission statement. Our mission statement, for success off the field as well as on the field, hasn't changed," says Rothenberg to LatinosPost.com. "We want to provide information on how to get into college as a reward for their soccer talents and hard work."

Alianza de Futbol's partnership with LeadDog helped them land their Telemundo deal, with the network featuring segments on Titulares Telemundo, Titulares y Más, and Ritmo Deportivo. Deportes Telemundo will also document the 7Up Sueño Alianza tournaments in a one-hour special to air during Hispanic Heritage Month, featuring game highlights and interviews with the young players and their families.

"We are extremely proud to partner with Alianza de Futbol and offer young Hispanic kids an opportunity to make their dreams come true, while promoting a healthy lifestyle," said Telemundo's Vice President of Sports Eli Velazquez in the statement.

Last week, U.S. Soccer announced they were teaming up with the Alianza de Futbol Scouting Tour, seeing the benefits the program can provide in recruiting new talent for the youth team program.

Two of Alianza de Futbol pupils, Benji Joya and Daniel Cuevas, both currently playing with Santos Laguna club in the Liga MX competed in the U-20 World Cup championships for the U.S. national team while Julio Morales, of MLS team Chivas USA, played quality minutes for the U-20 Mexican national team.

Rothenberg could not be any happier with partnering up with LeadDog, seeing results right away.

"[LeadDog] gives us resources we just did not have," said Rothenberg to LatinosPost.com. "We were a lean organization but we were a good property. They provided operational experts building up our platforms. This type of support allowed us to launch our women's program."
