In a little over two months, fans of Shonda Rhimes hit medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" will get the tenth season they have been so patiently waiting for. As always, the show left off with a myriad of cliffhangers as several relationships hung in the balance. Little has been revealed about the upcoming season, but ABC has finally announced the show's premiere date.

On September 26, fans will get a special two-hour premiere of the medical drama. Previous reports hint at a particularly dramatic season 10 opener. According to TVLine, the premiere will be anything but peaceful. TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich teased, "It appears that things refuse to remain sleepy in Shonda Rhimes' Seattle, seeing as the Season 10 opener will involve a group of firefighters."

Mitovich also hinted at the two-hour premiere before it was confirmed saying, "several of the guest-starring roles, including one fireman's fiancé, will span two episodes." Fans will have to guess what sort of trouble the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial will find themselves in this time.

While details of the upcoming season haven't left the writers' room just yet, show creator Shonda Rhimes has confirmed that the season is already gearing up to go. "Scripts for first two GA episodes are On deck and ready to go!! Excited about them!!" Rhimes tweeted on July 11.

On Monday, the show creator extraordinaire announced the season's first table read, adding "Can not wait to see everyone!" Rhimes gave fans a sneak peak into the cast's first season 10 table read with photos of Patrick Dempsey (Dr. Derek Shepherd), Sara Ramirez (Dr. Callie Torres) and Justin Chambers (Dr. Alex Karev).

You can catch Dempsey and Ramirez, along with who appears to be Ellen Pompeo (Dr. Meredith Grey), here. The snapshot of Chambers, which was shared on Rhimes' Who Say account, is below.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 10 airs on Thursday, September 26 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
