It's past midnight on Wednesday, July 25, 12:15 a.m. ET to be exact, and the day Apple makes available its latest OS X, Mountain Lion, is here.

As announced yesterday by the company's chief financial officer, Peter Oppenheimer, who reported on Apple's 2nd quarter earnings and explained how the company's missed in meeting iPhone sales expectations by the way - that resulted in Apple shares drop - people should now should be able to download the new software for $19.99 a piece.

There is a multitude of people online right now who are meticulously analyzing Apple's website for a section or button that may lead them to getting their Macs to download the new awaited software. However, there is simply no sign of such (Apple, for next time, it'd be nice if you posted a note or announcement).

People can put their credit cards back in their wallets or purses since Apple's website is still displaying "Coming in July".

Now, this begs people to wonder whether Apple is indeed planning to release the upgrade within the next minutes, hours, or by the beginning of office hours(?).

Before anything you should first check the Mac App Store as Apple states in its website:

There's no need to visit a store, bring home a box, and install a bunch of discs. Just click the Mac App Store icon on your Mac. Buy OS X Mountain Lion. And your Mac does the rest. Follow these steps to begin your upgrade.
