For those of you who have desperately waiting to get the scoop on the upcoming third season of Grimm, you're in luck. Production is now well underway, and although executive producer Jim Kouf has remained tight lipped about the upcoming season, he finally took some time out of his busy schedule to sit down and talk about what's on the horizon.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kouf opened up about three major plotlines that will drive the season forward.

As for Nick, don't expect any quick resolution to his recent zombie incident. "It's going to take a couple of scripts to get Nick back into shape," Kouf said. "Gotta say, he's having a tough time. It hasn't been easy on him."

Nick won't be the only one affected by his dire circumstances. "Like with any near-death experience of medical issue that someone deals with, it kind of changes their lives," Kouf added. "You have a new perspective on things, so Nick is going to have to deal with the residual effects."

And what about the developing relationship between Juliette and Renard? "No plans but that doesn't mean it won't happen. We allow the characters to kind of develop in a natural way. As we create the characters and we work them through the story, sometimes, suddenly someone has a different need that we didn't know they had. And we allow ourselves to play those needs out," Kouf said. "You just never know, and we don't always necessarily know. The characters speak to us. We try to let them behave and tell us what they want."

Speaking of love, Hank is single and ready to mingle. "He's been kind of single for a while," Kouf added. "So we plan to get him hooked up again."

"Grimm" will return to NBC this fall.
