It's almost time. One of the most anticipated and curious album releases of the year is rapidly approaching. Fans cannot wait to see the full evolution of Miley Cyrus from her Hannah Montana skin and into her new twerking womanhood. The music video for her first single, "We Can't Stop," has tantalized fans. Now that fans have a first idea of what's to come, they can see that the album will push the edges and mark the arrival of the new Miley.

Cyrus is so eager to shake her Hannah Montana days, in fact, that she openly admits how embarrassed she gets when thinking back on the Disney years. No matter how grown up she may look in the video for "We Can't Stop," the world will always see her a little Hannah.

"Right now, when people go to iTunes and listen to my old music, it's so irritating to me because I can't just erase that stuff and start over," Cyrus said during an interview with Billboard. "My last record I feel so disconnected from - I was 16 or 17 when I made it. When you're in your 20s, you just don't really know that person anymore."

She hopes that her new album will help to rid herself of her teenage reputation, a similar sentiment felt by many people in their 20s. Cyrus, however, like many fellow childhood stars, is doing her best to shed the good-girl image of her teenage years. She's doing so by replacing it with one that is wild, youthful and rebellious.

"I want to start as a new artist," she said. "I consider my upcoming album my first, really."

In order to shed her Hannah Montana image in its entirety, she'll have to make quite an impression on her forthcoming album. We can't wait to see what she has in store.
