Fashion has become as much a part of the National Basketball Association draft tradition as shaking Commissioner David Stern's hand but Indiana Hoosier guard Victor Oladipo took it to a whole new level.

Oladipo debuted the new Google Glass, a pair of glasses that allow the user to do the same tasks one can perform on their iPhone or Samsung phones - including texting, getting directions, filming video, using apps and social media. The glasses - which cost $1500 - won't be available until next year.

"It's been crazy," said Oladipo to TheVerge.com. "A once-in-a-lifetime experience. I'm glad you guys get to see it from my perspective."

Oladipo wore Glass for three days, documenting his experience of going through the NBA draft process while figuring out how to use the device. Oladiplo said he felt like he was hosting his own show, with him narrating videos about what he was seeing and feeling, while trying to deal with the media chaos that goes with draft day, posting videos showing the people in his life coming into his tiny hotel room - from friends to teammates to former coaches.

"The entire day was just so hectic, it was amazing," said Oladipo.

Photos of Oladipo wearing Glass spread across Twitter and Vine as well as mentions from USA Today, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, and even the official NBA Twitter account before he was asked by league officials to take them off.

"I got to wear them on the bus, and in the green room, and that's when they kinda shut it down," said Oladipo. "They just said they didn't want me to wear them."

Choosing not to get fined on draft day, Oladipo complied with league officials and did not wear Glass when he made his way onstage to shake hands with commissioner Stern, after the Hoosier shooting was drafted in the first round, second overall by the Orlando Magic.

Oladipo seemed impressed by the Google device after testing them out for the tech company, and is sold on the product for his own personal usage.

"Oh, I need five pairs. I want like, black, blue - you know, Orlando black and blue. Or white and silver," says Oladiplo. "I'm just looking forward to seeing how it grows. The sky's the limit."
