El Salvador will look to salvage its U-20 World Cup hopes when it takes on Australia in the second group stage match on Tuesday.

The Central Americans are coming off a 3-0 loss against Turkey that has then up against the wall. A loss to Australia would essentially eliminate the team from contention as any result in Colombia-Turkey match would leave one or both sides with at least four points.

"It's difficult to find the words after a heavy defeat, but it's also very difficult to fault our performance," Salvadorian captain Rene Gomez told FIFA.com. "It was a very tough match against very strong opponents. All I said to them was that I was proud of them, because we gave everything and all did what was expected of us."

"Maybe because it's the first time we are taking part in a World Cup, there was some apprehension and a degree of uncertainty [going into our first match]," he added about his team's poor play in the opening match. "I don't know what we could have done to win it, but I know that we did our best. At no time were we afraid, and at no time will we be afraid, whoever our opponents are."

Australia settled for a 1-1 draw against Colombia in the opener and would help its qualifying chance with a victory over the weakest side in the group.

Prediction: Australia pulls off a 4-0 victory.

Start Time: Kickoff starts at 11 AM EST.

TV: The game will not be televised in the United States.
