It wasn't too long ago that it was revealed that Samsung would be delaying Android 4.2.2 for both the Samsung Galaxy S3. While no updated release time frame was given at the time, a new report states that the next version of Android should roll out to Galaxy S3s sometime during Q3 2013.

In a report detailing a new stability update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, SamMobile, the same folks who brought everybody the news of the delay, stated that Q3 was the new target release time for Android 4.2.2.

"Android 4.2.2 for the Galaxy Note II and S3 is planned in Q3 together with the new interface of the Galaxy S4," SamMobile wrote.

A quick look at the calendar shows that Q3 2013 begins in July and ends September 30.

Samsung has not confirmed the report, but SamMobile boasts a track record that has been spot on with firmwares. It wasn't too long ago that the website leaked an early Android 4.2.2 build for the Galaxy S3, stating that a final build should become publicly available sometime in June. Alas, it was not meant to be, as a later report confirmed that Samsung is delaying Android 4.2.2 for the Galaxy S3 due to problems with the TouchWiz user interface.

The TouchWiz UI is what SamMobile was referring to in the quote above when it stated "the new interface of the Galaxy S4." TouchWiz is Samsung's front-end interface layered on top of stock Android, and contains all the unique bells and whistles that can only be found on Samsung devices.
