Ever since the season 8 finale of "How I Met Your Mother," fans have been on the edges of their seats. Finally, after years of yearning, the show revealed the identity of The Mother. So what's next? There's nothing more to it, right? What's the point in watching the show anymore? Well, luckily for the diehards that are upset to see one of television's best comedy sitcoms come to an end, the final season is sure to be a wild ride.

Season 9 will document the Mother's arrival into the lives of the gang. She'll be introduced to them one by one on her own accord, with Ted being the last. Fans couldn't be more excited, and now CBS has announced the official premiere date, making the finale season much more of a reality.

Set your calendars for September 23 at 8 p.m. ET. "How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 will premiere with a special hour-long episode to kick things off the right way. In addition, CBS announced its entire 2013-2014 premiere dates. Check them out below.
