Production for the second-generation iPad mini has been pushed to November, according to "supply chain" sources from Taiwan.
Once again citing sources from Taiwan, DigiTimes claimed the volume production for the fifth-generation 9.7-inch iPad will start first with a July-August time frame.

The alleged time frame for the iPad 5 then knocks the iPad mini 2 production to late fall.
According to DigiTimes, the delay is blamed at either production issues or a decision by Cupertino executives. The belief, the report added, is "market watchers" don't want the iPad mini 2's sales to dent iPad 5's demand.
The iPad mini 2 has been long-rumored to make a debut in the fall, such as September or October.
KGI Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo had previously stated the iPad mini 2 would face challenges due to the inclusion of Retina Display. According to Kuo, the display panels may prove to be a challenge for manufacturers, thus, leading to delay shipments.
NPD DisplaySearch analyst Richard Shim, however, commented that two "refreshes" of the 7.9-inch tablet were coming. Echoing Kuo, Shim stated a variant, likely the Retina Display, will launch during the third quarter this year, while the second "refresh" will launch in early 2014.
