The United States will look to continue their solid play when they take on Jamaica in the World Cup qualifiers on Friday.

The Americans are coming off a tremendous performance against Germany. Even though their opponents lacked many of their top players, the Americans performed with confidence and solid technique. Jozy Altidore scored his first open play goal in two years to open the scoring while Clint Dempsey put up a tremendous performance with two goals.

"The feel-good factor is amazing," U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard said. "The crowd was great, on the centennial anniversary. It was amazing to be a part of that game, and obviously to beat Germany was special."

"Now the road gets long," Howard added about fighting for a World Cup spot. "Morale, motivation, feel-good factor, that's going to play a huge role, and I don't think it can be understated. Because going down to Jamaica is not going to be easy."

The United States are currently tied for third place in the CONCAF standings with Costa Rica and Honduras. The top three teams earn automatic berths next summer while the fourth place team must compete with New Zealand for a chance to be among the 32 finalists.

Jamaica sits in last place in the CONCACAF standings with only two points. The team opened the hexagonal stage with a 0-0 draw against Mexico. On March 22, the team battled to a 2-2 draw with Panama before losing 2-0 to Costa Rica and 1-0 to Mexico.

Jamaica defeated the United States 2-1 at home last fall during the CONCACAF group stage; the Americans countered with a 1-0 win a few days later.

Prediction: The Americans pull off a 2-1 win over Jamaica.
