Sorry folks. Looks like Google's got other plans than releasing an LTE version of the popular LG Nexus 4 smartphone. According to the latest reports circulating the technosphere, Google is more interested in releasing a white version of the smartphone than an LTE/CDMA version.

The latest batch of support for the white Nexus 4 is nothing short of official press shots, which can be seen above. None of this has been confirmed by Google or LG, so this could all be some elaborate hoax, but given the number of supporting reports and previous rumors, there's a good chance this is how Google plans on keeping its customers happy until the Nexus 5.

It wasn't too long ago that Android and Me let the white Nexus 4 cat out of the bag. The website claimed to have actually obtained the white Nexus 4 and said this:

"We obtained the elusive white Nexus 4 and we can confirm it's a carbon copy of the previous Nexus 4, just with a different color casing. That might not be the most exciting news, but we also learned the white Nexus 4 would hit the Google Play store on June 10th and it would be accompanied with Android 4.3."

So there you have it. If the trail of breadcrumbs adds up, it means no LTE model. The rumored LTE version of the Nexus 4 was thought to be a revamped model with CDMA support so that it could work on networks like Verizon (the largest national carrier in the United States) and Sprint. Instead, it looks like all Nexus fans will get is a new color.

What do you think of a white Nexus 4? Would you rather have had an LTE/CDMA Nexus 4 hit retail shelves? Let us know in the comments below.
