The Xbox One reveal showcased several new television-centric features, but when it comes to the day-to-day functions of the hardware and its accessories, how will Microsoft's next generation console tweak the 360's design?

IGN had the opportunity to speak to a Microsoft representative, who detailed the introduction of two new buttons on the controller to replace the 'Start' and 'Select' buttons: View and Menu. Menu will reportedly perform a different function for each game, dependent on the developer's design. Meanwhile, the View button will "change views or provide more information in games and apps," according to the rep.

The system's other required controller, Kinect 2.0, implements a suite of new features as well in an effort to unify video entertainment and gaming. Now, Kinect can operate in complete darkness, and track a total of six people with greater accuracy than the current model. The new software allows the device to track a greater range of movements, including their speed and exact angles. Perhaps most striking is the Kinect's ability to detect heart rate through the use of visual cues. IGN explains that Kinect "understand[s] the depth of your room so thoroughly as to show the wrinkles in your shirt" and confirms that the camera captures at 1080p resolution. Rumors suggest that Siri-like features are in the works for the device as well.

Microsoft will likely unveil more details at E3 2013, which begins June 11. Stay tuned to Latinos Post for regular updates.
