Tomorrow's the big day. It's graduation in Mystic Falls, and that means it's also the season 4 finale of "The Vampire Diaries." There have been numerous circulating rumors concerning which Salvatore brother Elena will ultimately choose, which vampire will take the coveted cure, and how the ultimate showdown between Elena and Katherine will end, but there are still a few other loose ends that must be tied before the season's end.

Mystic Falls is currently swamped with ghosts, including the Five Vampire Hunters and others like Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) who seek revenge. It would come as no surprise if the ghosts ruin graduation, as "Vampire Diaries" fans should expect. What's a typical high school tradition in Mystic Falls without some vampire bloodshed?

And what about Bonnie (Kat Graham)? In the promo she tells Caroline (Candice Accola) that she "hit a snag," but doesn't reveal the truth of her death. She previously died while trying to save Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), but we never learned if she succeeded in bringing him back to life. Caroline is hoping for perfect graduation (yeah right) and Bonnie promises to do whatever she can to make sure it goes on without a hitch, but when Bonnie shows up to the graduation ceremony without Katherine's (Nina Dobrev) immortality, mayhem ensues.

Season 5 spoilers also confirm that Bonnie will be rooming with Caroline and Elena in college, but Bonnie is dead... Could Bonnie be the one to take the cure? Or will the Veil between both worlds stay down?

Meanwhile, Damon (Ian Somerholder) is attracting unwanted attention from the ghosts. He's made his fair share of enemies during the past four seasons, and the synopsis hints that his life will be put in grave danger after a ghostly encounter. Although nothing is certain, TV Guide revealed that Damon may be "in mortal peril," possibly due to a werewolf bite, a classic Mystic Falls graduation day tradition. A photo from The CW shows a concerned Elena (Dobrev) as she tends to an injured Damon. Check out the photo below. We know that Damon will return in season 5, but in what form is unclear. If the Veil does indeed stay down, Damon could stick around after suffering a deadly werewolf bite.

The Season 4 finale of "The Vampire Diaries" will air this Thursday, May 16, on The CW.
