Is Neymar headed to Barcelona? Despite reports indicating that the youngster may be Germany-bound, Sambafoot.com asserts that a move to the Camp Nou is still the likeliest outcome.

However, the publication notes that Neymar's current club Santos wants to make a big profit when it moves its biggest asset.

"Globoesporte claims that Santos are willing to start negotiations at 50 million Euros, and if that is paid then they would be willing to allow the player and his other stakeholders to talk to Barcelona officials," writes Sambafoot.com. "Santos currently own 55 percent of the player, while the remaining 45 percent is split between DIS, who hold 40 percent and a consortium closely linked to the club, who hold 5 percent."

This could certainly create problems for negotiations moving forward. A previous report from the same publication noted that Neymar's desire to move to Barcelona has limited the team's power at the negotiating table. As a result, it looked like Barcelona might only need to pay 25 million Euros for the rights to Neymar.

If Santos is adamant about the 50 million Euros then Neymar could end up sticking with the club until the contract expires next year. If Santos is unable to move Neymar, then there is a chance that he could leave next season after the expiration; Santos would wind up losing the phenom and obtain no returns. Neymar reportedly rejected an offer for 100 million Euros from Real Madrid.

Neymar rumors have circulated for months with Barcelona seeming like the most likely destination. A recent rumor suggested that the Brazilian would head to Bayern Munich, but the club swiftly denied the speculation.
