Microsoft is preparing for the big reveal event for the next-gen Xbox on May 21 by constructing a giant tent-like structure to hold the event on the Microsoft's Redmond, Washington campus. This news come from photos tweeted by Aaron Greenberg and Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, who show the partially constructed building from several different angles.

The next-gen Xbox will be revealed in one week, and Microsoft will be able to lay to rest the many different rumors circulating around the device. The main rumors about the next gen console are if the console will require an internet connection to function and the price of the console. While many sources are claiming that the new Xbox will require an internet connection to play games, or it will shut down, that may not be the case.

The other big rumor about the system is how much it will cost. The hot rumor in that regard is that the next-gen Xbox will initially come out in two different models. One will be subscription based and cost $300, with a monthly fee attached to it, while the full console will cost $500. Other rumors about the console include what it will be called, and if the device will be backwards compatible.

Microsoft has been holding their cards close to their chest in regards to their upcoming system, so once they actually reveal the device we will finally get to end the stream of Microsoft press releases that state that they will not comment on rumors and speculation that accompany any attempt to confirm information about the device. Microsoft will be having a live stream of the event on Xbox Live, Xbox.com, and on Spike TV. We will continue to monitor the Xbox reveal event as we get closer and closer to the system's big debut.
