Last week was a big week for "50 Shades of Grey." One of the top Christian Grey contenders, Stephen Amell, backed out of contention, Ian Somerhalder split with his co-star girlfriend Nina Dobrev and Joe Wright became a frontrunner for the film's director. Although it's impossible to be sure, it feels like we're getting closer to a casting decision from E. L. James and Universal Studios. The pot is about to boil over. It's time to make the call. Now it's a new week, and the "50 Shades" casting buzz keeps humming.

Amidst the tragic breakup, Somerhalder continues to snag major Mr. Grey attention, but he's not the only one. With Amell out of the runnings, two names dominate the fan polls. One, of course, is Somerhalder, while the other is "White Collar" star Matt Bomer. It's unclear as to who will win the race, as both are perfectly qualified for the seductive role, but it's going to be close. As mentioned before, there's no official work from neither James nor Universal, but based on fan recognition, any other contenders will have a difficult time facing up against the two Christian hopefuls.

As for Anastasia, many names have been tossed into the arena, including Emilia Clarke, Dobrev and Lucy Hale, but none are as definitive as Somerhalder and Bomer. New Ana candidates come and go as fans find it difficult to decide on who's best suited for the role. But now an upcoming Anastasia hopeful, 26-year-old Lyndsy Fonseca, has entered the ring and is already gaining lots of "50 Shades" love, as Mstars points out.

Fonseca is featured in two fan-made mock trailers with both, you guessed it, Somerhalder and Bomer. Her and Bomer's teaser has over 294,000 views, while her trailer with Somerhalder has clocked more than 137,700. That's a lot of "50 Shades" adornment for the "Young and Restless" star. Check out both trailers below.

As Bomer and Somerhalder take the reigns as Christian candidates, the role of Anastasia still remains up in the air, although Fonseca does seem like the perfect fit. Without any comment from James or Universal, it looks like "50 Shades of Grey" fans will have to wait another day, or maybe even a week, or at this point an entire decade until a final decision is made.
