Epic Games has announced that a second map sponsored by Maxim Magazine for Gears of War: Judgment will become available soon, on May 15. The map, entitled Dreadnought, will become available to OverRun players for free, but for a limited time only. The website describes the new map as so:

"In the months immediately following Emergence Day, the COG managed to capture some Locust Berserkers.  Thinking that a ship at sea would be safe from an underground enemy, the COG decided to transport their prize to a secure research facility via the CNV Pomeroy. Little did they know that the Locust had waterborne beasts from the underground rivers of the Hollow, or that the Locust soldiers would use them so relentlessly to rescue the captured Berserkers.  The Pomeroy was corralled into a narrow channel and forced ashore, where the Locust sent a mass of troops to assault and overwhelm the beached vessel."

It sounds like Gears of War: Judgment players can get ready for some nautical nonsense in this new DLC. Earlier this month, Epic Games had released the second DLC pack for the game, entitled Call to Arms. That DLC pack, instead of a single free map, offered players three new maps, several new weapon and armor skins, as well as a new gameplay mode.

While Gears of War: Judgment has failed to sell as many copies as the last game in the series, Gears of War 3, the game has sold well and has been received well by critics and gamers alike. The game serves as a prequel to the original trilogy of games, ands tells the story of popular character Baird, instead of previous main character Marcus. Gears of War: Judgment is an Xbox 360 exclusive, and fans should be on the lookout for more DLC from the game in the coming months.
