Philadelphia Eagles' Michael Vick proved he still possesses the speed of a potent double-threat quarterback after beating running back LaSean McCoy in a 40-yard sprint at practice on Thursday.

Vick, who's known as a two-way offensive player throughout his career, showed he still has the explosiveness to outrun even a running back despite turning 33-year old in June.

"So today at the field 1 of my teammates called me old," Vick tweeted right after Thursday's practice, according to ESPN, "Anybody want to guess which player?"

McCoy reportedly called Vick old during Thursday's practice session and even challenged the veteran quarterback to a 40-yard-race. Vick immediately accepted the challenge and went on to give the 24-year old running back a beating he would never forget.

"Beat him by a few yards too lol," Vick wrote in his succeeding tweets, adding #SpeedKILLS to the tweet.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, McCoy has been picking on Vick for weeks, calling the quarterback old and asking him for a race. At first, Vick turned down the running back's challenge but he then later asked coach Chip Kelly for his permission in the race on Thursday.

Eagles' tight end Clay Harbor already disclosed that Vick really blew by McCoy in the 40-yard sprint while former Dallas Cowboys and now Eagles defensive end Clifton Geathers informed his former teammates about what he just saw.

"Never seen a QB beat a runner back by 4yards until today Vick is a fast as mug @JayRat90 [Jay Ratliff] @hatcher97 [Jason Hatcher] @Fast_Teddy [Teddy Williams]," Geathers tweeted on Thursday.

McCoy, on the other hand, accepted his defeat though he jokingly accused Vick of cheating. The Eagles' rusher then called Vick as a top-3 fastest player on his team.

After losing his starting job last year due to injuries, Vick looks for a bounce-back season as he tries to lead the star-studded Eagles back to the Super Bowl.
