Fans will have to wait until Tuesday to watch the anticipated full-length trailer for "Ender's Game," but Lionsgate released a short teaser on Friday to tide them over in the meantime. The video offers a glimpse of never-before-seen footage from the movie featuring Harrison Ford alongside Asa Butterfield and a face-tattooed Ben Kingsley.

It doesn't show much, but it serves its purpose. The clip shows a spaceship, Hollywood's finest looking better than ever, and an extravagant battle room set, the perfect ingredients for a tantalizing teaser.

"Enders Game" is the long-awaited adaptation of Orson Scott Card's best-selling, award winning science fiction novel written in 1985. Here's the official synopsis:

In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer.

Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military's next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he's trained by Mazer Rackham himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

The official trailer will debut during a Google+ Hangout on Tuesday, May 7 at 4:00 p.m. EDT. The hangout will include Butterfield, director Gavin Hood and producer Bob Orci as they introduce the trailer and talk about the film. Until then, enjoy the teaser footage below!

"Enders Game" will hit theaters November 1, 2013.
