Iron Man 3 releases in theaters today, but fans who can't get enough of Tony Stark can now download the official game adaptation on iOS and Android devices. Iron Man 3 the game is an endless runner, similar to the popular Temple Run and Subway Surfer games. But is this free game worth a download?
Although there is no upfront cost, the game offers numerous in-app purchases available, including unlockable new suits. This can be a pain though, as the game is designed at least partially to tempt players into buying these upgrades.

The actual gameplay is fun, offering the combination of an endless runner and a point and click-style shooting gallery, as Iron Man maneuvers around three different levels and has to avoid objects while shooting down enemies. Gameplay varies every time you play the game, so the game avoids feeling repetitive. In addition, the game offers daily challenges to entice players to keep coming back to the game.
"Challenges like "reach 10,000 meters in a single run" or "collect 200 credits" give you plenty of carrots to chase. Overall, Iron Man 3 is a solid, if unspectacular game, and if players can avoid spending money on the microtransactions available, it is a worthy download for your iOS or Android Device.
