The Lumia 928 has not been confirmed by Nokia or Microsoft, but the specifications for the upcoming Windows Phone 8 smartphone are currently making the rounds.

According to WPCentral, editor Daniel Rubino reported that an anonymous source "dropped" information of the Lumia 928.

"I can't personally vouch for it but it sounds in-line with what we are expecting the Verizon Nokia Lumia 928 to feature. That is, nothing listed here is exactly crazy," wrote Rubino.

While the Lumia 928 has been rumored to be similar to the AT&T-exclusive Lumia 920, the information noted improvements from the latter Windows Phone 8 device. Among the differences from the Lumia 920, the Lumia 928 is reportedly 10 percent less in volume and 20 grams lighter than the AT&T smartphone. The Lumia 920 will also have Xenon flash, OLED display, and better audio performance with a new amplifier akin to HTC's latest smartphone.

According to Rubino's source, detailed specifications for the Lumia 928 include a 2,000mAh battery capacity, 32GB of internal storage with no microSD card slot, 4.5-inch screen with 334 pixels per inch, 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second, and a weight of 5.7 ounces.

The alleged information comes as a Reddit Q&A thread featured further leaks about the Lumia 928. As Latinos Post reported, many of the answers provided were deleted but from what was seen noted Nokia and Microsoft will each pitch $30 million in the upcoming Windows Phone 8's marketing campaign. The Lumia 928 will apparently cost $99 when signing a two-year contract with Verizon Wireless, a similar price to AT&T's exclusive two-year contract with the Lumia 920. The full retail price of the Lumia 928 may be $599.

As previously noted, neither Microsoft nor Nokia confirmed any of the details provided on Reddit or elsewhere, but the Finnish-based company did confirm a Lumia event for May 14 in London. The event didn't specify what it'll entail, but it is likely the place for the Lumia 928 to debut.
