Sprint retail stores finally have the Samsung Galaxy S4 in stock, after worldwide supply shortages of the flagship smartphone.
Availability is still limited, but Sprint says it expects to get new shipments in every day, so it's best to call ahead to your local store before you drop in.
Of course, the Galaxy S4 is available on Sprint's website, as it has been for the last few days, so that might still be the best bet for people who don't live near major retail distribution centers.
AT&T has the Galaxy S4 available both online and in its stores, but again, supplies are iffy everywhere, so call ahead. T-Mobile is selling the phone online, but its stores won't have it in stock until May 8, and some lower priority stores will need to wait until May 15.
Verizon doesn't get the Galaxy S4 in stock until May 30, but that delay was planned.
Samsung went out of its way to ensure It would have enough Galaxy S4 devices on hand for the launch, hoping to avoid the long delays that plagued last year's launch of the Galaxy S3. But unforeseen shortages in supplies of DRAM forced Samsung to buy units from rival SK Hynix to fulfill its promise of 10 million Galaxy S4s in the first month after release.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 1.6GHz eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor or a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor (depending on country), 2GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1920x1080 Full HD AMOLED display at 441 ppi, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video, a 2-megapixel front facing camera, internal storage between 16 and 64GB, an SD card slot that can accommodate an additional 64GB, a polycarbonate body, Smart Pause and floating touch tech and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
