It's hard enough to get ahold of an HTC One these days, what with supply shortages and the flagship phone selling out at many retail stores. But HTC insists a recent injunction won't further affect the One's availability.

A court in Amsterdam recently ruled against an HTC supplier in a battle with Nokia over a contract to provide the microphone in the HTC One. The same component is used in the Nokia Lumia 720, and the court said STMicroelectronics has an exclusivity agreement with Nokia for the next 10 months.

That means HTC needs to find a new supplier or it won't be able to produce any more HTC One devices, leading many consumers to worry about a lengthy shortage. The black model of the One is already difficult to find, as are the 32GB unlocked version and the 64GB developer's version.

But HTC says not to worry -- the injunction won't affect HTC One sales or supplies. "The judgment against STM states that HTC can continue to use microphones already purchased from STM in its products, because they were purchased in good-faith. Nokia's attempt to obtain a recall of microphones already sold to HTC failed. HTC will transition to improved microphone designs once its inventory of STM microphones is exhausted," HTC said in a press release.

Of course, even if more shortages are ahead, HTC wouldn't say that, though we'll have to wait and see how many microphones HTC currently has in stock and how quickly they can find a replacement supplier.

The HTC One features a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch 1920x1080 pixel widescreen Super LCD 3 display, a 2300 mAh Li-Po battery, a 4-megapixel "Ultrapixel" camera with enhanced low-light sensitivity with 1080p HD video, up to 64GB of internal storage and runs Android 4.1.2.

Check back for the latest updates on the HTC One as they become available.
