Customers hoping to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy S4 won't have to wait much longer. AT&T and Sprint subscribers can pick up the new phone at RadioShack starting Apr. 27.
Most Sprint retail stores should have the Galaxy S4 in stock the same day, but it's a couple days earlier than AT&T stores are likely to have it.
For those lucky enough to have pre-ordered the Galaxy S4, AT&T has already begun shipping the devices, and some customers report receiving their phones in the mail already
But the Sprint website is now out of stock; if you want to pre-order, you'll need to go somewhere else. Amazon has the Sprint Galaxy S4 for $149.99 with a two-year contract, substantially cheaper than the $249.99 price at Best Buy and most other online retailers.
The Galaxy S4 was supposed to be available online from T-Mobile today, but that release has been pushed back to Apr. 29, a tough blow for the Uncarrier, which has been trying to position itself as a worthy competitor to AT&T and Sprint, and being able to boast of the earliest release for a major phone like the Galaxy S4 would have been an excellent bit of public relations for the plucky underdog.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 1.6GHz eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor or a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor (depending on country), 2GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1920x1080 Full HD AMOLED display at 441 ppi, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video, a 2-megapixel front facing camera, internal storage between 16 and 64GB, an SD card slot that can accommodate an additional 64GB, a polycarbonate body, Smart Pause and floating touch tech and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
