Injustice: Gods Among Us has recently been released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U, and has been well received critically. The game has also made it's way onto iOS platforms as well, but the game has been revamped somewhat for the mobile platforms. What is a unique twist, however, is that playing both the console version of the game and the iOS version allows the user to unlock bonus content on both platforms, adding new costumes and power credits by playing the mobile version of the game.

The iPhone and iPad version of Injustice: Gods Among Us allows for three vs. three fighting, with players able to tap a character's portrait to switch between team members. The game uses a card battle system mixed with motion controls. Players tap and swipe their Apple device to attack and defend their opponents, and characters do preset combos during gameplay. Super attacks are available, but must be unlocked by leveling up your character. Players get special cards to modify their character.

The iOS game is able to sync up with a player's copy of the game on consoles, no matter what system they have. Players will be able to unlock hero icon cards in the console version of the game by playing the iOS version, while playing the console version will unlock experience, character skins, and the game's virtual currency on the iOS Injustice game. IGN has the full list of unlockables available by using both iOS and console versions of the games.

Injustice: Gods Among Us for the iPhone and iPad is available for free in the Apple store. While the game is free, the game does include microtransactions that players can use to buy new content and level up faster. The iOS version of the game offers a unique spin on the game's DC heroes versus villains gameplay, and certainly has a potential to be a big hit for both Apple and NetherRealm Studios.
