Injustice: Gods Among Us is barely out, but fans have been loving the combination of solid fighting game mechanics with a roster full of DC comics characters. Rumors are already circulating about possible DLC extras though, especially after the recent announcement that Lobo would become the first of four new fighters to be added to the game.

While nothing has been confirmed or even teased past this first character addition, fans have already begun speculating who the next hero or villain might be. An obvious answer would be General Zod, a powerful enemy of Superman who will be featured in the upcoming Man of Steel film this summer. Additionally, mega-baddie Darkseid is rumored to play a role in 2015's Justice League film, and is an all-around powerhouse in the DC universe.

Alternatively, NetherRealm could dig deeper into the Batman Rogues Gallery, grabbing well-known characters who were surprisingly absent including Two-Face, the Riddler, Clayface, Killer Croc, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, or Scarecrow. Heck, even a superpowered Zsasz might offer up a pretty interesting play style. If the developers wanted to go down a really strange path, they might even consider Composite Superman, and give him a shifting move set similar to Mortal Kombat's Chameleon.

Alternatively, some fans have been suggesting that NetherRealm mine DC's rich imprint library. Rorschach, or really any of the characters from Watchmen, would make an awesome inclusion. Heck, an entire Watchmen DLC pack complete with Ozymandias, Nite Owl, Silk Spectre, the Comedian, and of course, Doctor Manhattan, would be a pretty stellar idea.

Why not dig even deeper though? Swamp Thing would make for some great fan service, while Hellblazer's John Constantine seems like an all-around cool character design. If NetherRealm wants a really bizarre choice that will get the fans on their feet, how about throwing a dimension hopping, super-pill chomping, profanity spewing Spider Jerusalem into the mix?

Lastly, and I think NetherRealm would be a fool not to give him a try, let's get Ambush Bug into that mix! The fourth wall breaking, on-again, off-again superhero would be a hilarious addition; and one that could really lighten Injustice's dark and somber tone a bit.
