Heading back to FOX for its tenth season is the hit show, "So You Think You Can Dance." Each season, the reality competition heads to various parts of the country to see potential contestants show off their moves in efforts to earn a ticket to Las Vegas. From there, invited dancers from all skill sets and backgrounds are challenged in various areas of dance that range from ballroom to hip hop. In the end, 10 boys and 10 girls will be chosen where they compete against each other on the show for the title of America's Favorite Dancer.

"I couldn't be more proud of the amazing work that Nigel and the entire SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE team has done over the past nine seasons," said Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. "This show is truly one of the most compelling series on television and I can't wait to bring it back for Season 10."

The show has definitely evolved since its beginning in 2005 with host Cat Deeley mastering the weekly celebration, and resident judges Nigel Lythgoe (also an executive producer of the show) and Mary Murphy advising contestants on ways to better their craft. The third seat at the judges' table is typically reserved for guest judges that have included Debbie Allen, Ellen DeGeneres, Katie Holmes and Carmen Electra. The diversity of dance styles has also changed significantly over the seasons including expected classical styles, Krump, ballroom, jazz, disco, Bollywood and much more. Just last season, the show went in a new direction making the decision to crown America's Favorite Male and Female Dancer.

With season ten on the horizon, one has to think about what tricks the show will have up its sleeve. Guess you will have to tune in to find out.

Season 10 of "So You Think You Can Dance" premiers on May 14 at 8 p.m. EST with an additional episode on May 15 at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
