Chelsea and Manchester City face off in their most crucial game of the season when the two sides contend in the FA Cup semifinals.
Manchester City has likely lost the premier league title and has nothing left to win but the FA Cup. The team is coming off a motivational 2-1 over cross town rivals Manchester United. However, the team lost David Silva in the process and knows that its current opponents are in top form.
"Every game against Chelsea is difficult," Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini said. "They are a good team in their best moment this season, doing very well and I am happy for Rafael Benitez because he is a good manager."
Meanwhile Chelsea is coming off a 3-2 loss Thursday to Rubin Kazan in the Europa League.
"We have to stop crosses and deal much better with them - things we couldn't do against Rubin," said Chelsea coach Rafa Benitez about what his team needs to improve in order to defeat Manchester City.
The two sides faced off twice this season in the premier league. The first match at Stamford Bridge ended in a 0-0 draw while the rematch on Feb. 24 saw City pull off a 2-0 win.
Predictions: Manchester City has battled through the tournament with relative ease but Chelsea feels like the team of destiny. The team took down Manchester United in the previous round despite falling behind 2-0 in the first match (which wound up tied 2-2). In the rematch, they took down the team in stunning fashion.
