The HTC One is now available for pre-order from Sprint for $199.99 with a two-year contract. The new smartphone will be in stock on Apr. 19.
With Sprint's order page up, the carrier joins AT&T and T-Mobile in offering HTC's flagship phone. Verizon is currently not scheduled to carry the HYC One, but rumors have been circulating that Verizon will offer an updated or brand specific version of the One at a later point this year.
AT&T offers the same deal for the One as Sprint. T-Mobile has jettisoned its contracts, so it is selling the One for $99 upfront and a $20 monthly fee for two years, offset by what it says are lower calling plan prices and a lack of overage charges for data.
The One debuted earlier this year but has been delayed for several weeks due to component shortages. HTC had been unable to source parts for the new UltraPixel cameras in the One. Analysts feared that shortage could last until the end of this month, but it seems to have passed.
Still, the delay means the One will be released less than two weeks before the Samsung Galaxy S4, timing that will surely cut into HTC's sales. The company had hoped to use the One to break back into a mobile phone market dominated by Apple and Samsung.
HTC's current market share stands below 5 percent, so it is pushing pre-orders to lock in as many customers as possible before the Galaxy S4 is available in late April or early May.
The HTC One features a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch 1920x1080 pixel widescreen Super LCD 3 display, a 2300 mAh Li-Po battery, a 4-megapixel "Ultrapixel" camera with enhanced low-light sensitivity with 1080p HD video, up to 64GB of internal storage and runs Android 4.1.2.
