Emma Watson will receive the second annual trailblazer award at the MTV Movie Awards.
The Trailblazor accolade is awarded to an actor for hard work. MTV said in a press statement that "Watson 'endeared herself to fans as one of the most beloved and iconic characters of her generation. She's been a constant presence in the lives of our audience for more than a decade and is continuing to challenge her craft with upcoming roles as radically diverse as her enormous talent.' We agree - and thought up five more reasons why she's our favorite."
MTV told Entertainment Weekly that the five other reasons were the fact that she was a good sport about Harry Potter and that she picked diverse and interesting projects post-Hogwarts. They also added that she was charming on David Letterman, she spoke out about the Fifty Shades of Grey rumors and showed off pictures of her youth on Twitter.
Watson recently hit headlines when she revealed steamy pictures on GQ magazine cover promoting her new film "The Bling Ring." The actress posed her character Nicki and wore a tight and skimpy cutout dress and exposed tattoos on her hip. When asked about the new film Watson stated, "I knew it would be a really ucomfortable thing to do, but I felt... I had to dive into something really different. This has been a really big departure for me; it's a really big character. That's so exciting for me because it meant I was really acting."
The actress also recently shot down rumors that she was in talks to play Anastasia Steele in "Fifty Shade of Grey" and also denied rumors of being involved in Disney's live action of "Cinederella."
Last year the Trailblazor award was given to Emma Stone for her work in "The Help" and "The Amazing Spider-man."
The MTV Movie Awards will be handed out April 14th at 8pm.
