Google has picked the winners of the If I Had Glass contest, and some of the winners have already been revealed to the public. A Stanford computer science student, Andrej Karpathy has gone through and compiled a list of more than 2,000 winners, which includes celebrities, insiders of the technology industry, and a few regular people thrown in as well.

Karpathy has built his list by finding people who entered the contest through Twitter, where those hoping for a chance to buy the Explorer version of Glass had to say what they would do with the device with the hashtag #ifihadglass. Google Plus users could also enter the contest, but Karpathy's list only includes those who were confirmed winners through Twitter. This list is still incomplete, as 8,000 winners were chosen to receive the opportunity to purchase the Google Glass early. Some winners were also disqualified for breaking the contests terms of use.

The list of winners for the contest is pretty impressive, and offers some interesting previews of what will happen once people start receiving their Glass device. Film director Kevin Smith said he would document the writing of the upcoming Clerks 3. Epic Games co-founder Cliff Bleszinski tweeted he would take the device on a zero gravity flight (and also to the shower.) Neil Patrick Harris revealed that he would use Glass to document what it is like on the set of How I Met Your Mother for a day. And in one of the more humorous responses, Star Trek: The Next Generation star LeVar Burton said that Google Glass would be a downgrade from the iconic eyewear he wore as Geordi Le Forge.

This list is only about a quarter of the way complete, but the roster of people that will get their hands on the Glass is certainly interesting. Google Glass will be available for consumers later this year, for less than the $1,500 the winners of the contest have to currently pay.
