Yesterday, we reported that Clove customers in the UK won't get the HTC One until Apr. 3. Now it looks like other UK retailers have finally gotten the new smartphone in stock.

Phones 4U has the silver version of the HTC One in stock, and the site says it will ship within 24 hours. The black version is still only available for pre-order.

EE also has the silver One in stock now.

Other retailers are suffering the same shortage as Clove, or worse. While Clove gets the silver One on Apr. 3 and the black version on Apr. 10, Expansys says it expects both versions to be available in two days, Mar. 30.

Carphone Warehouse has the silver version available on Apr. 5.

HTC has been struggling to source components for its unique UltraPixel cameras. Industry sources say HTC is no longer considered a "tier-one" customer after its unreliable order history during last year's sales slump.

The manufacturing delays mean the One will compete directly against Samsung's new Galaxy S4, a head-to-head competition HTC was hoping to avoid as it attempts to break back into a mobile market dominated by Apple and Samsung. In addition, the Sony Xperia Z and the BlackBerry Z10 are making strong showings from smaller players in the mobile market, and it remains to be seen whether the industry can support this many companies in the mix.

Much of HTC's fate rests on the popularity of the HTC One, and a poor showing even after positive reviews could doom the company and further worry investors.

The HTC One features a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch 1920x1080 pixel widescreen Super LCD 3 display, a 4-megapixel "Ultrapixel" camera with enhanced low-light sensitivity with 1080p HD video, up to 64GB of internal storage and runs Android 4.1.2.

Check back for the latest updates on the HTC One as they become available.
