Three crucial World Cup qualifiers took place in the CONCACAF on Tuesday and each one had major implications on the standings.

Costa Rica vs. Jamaica

The Costa Ricans were devastated earlier Tuesday when they found out that FIFA would not allow them to replay their match against the United States. However, the team did not let the decision affect their performance later that day against the over performing Jamaicans. The Reggae Boyz came into the game with two draws; one against Panama and another against Mexico. Michael Umaña scored 22 minutes into the game to give Costa Rica a much needed lead. The team would hold on until the 82nd minute when Diego Calvo doubled the lead and secured victory for the Costa Ricans.

With the win, Costa Rica earned four points and threw Jamaica into last place in the group with only two.

Panama vs. Honduras

During the third round of qualifiers, Panama and Honduras met twice in Group C. Panama won the first match 2-0 and managed a 0-0 draw in the rematch. Honduras failed to score for the third time in three tries in these World Cup qualifiers and lost 2-0 against Panama. After a tremendous win against the Americans and a comeback against Mexico, the Hondurans looked overwhelmed by the Panamanians who picked up their first victory of the qualifiers and jumped to the top of the standings with five points.

Mexico vs. United States

The Americans managed to shut down the Mexican side in a 0-0 draw. To read a full analysis, click here. For highlights, Click HERE
